Trudge joins the Of Paradise family with his Buried Hopes EP, a four-track journey into the heart and mind of one of the most exciting young producers currently working in electronic music. Brimming with his signature brand of focused, emotionally charged and room expanding electronics, Buried Hopes perfectly captures the euphoria and fragility of life.
‘Memorial For A Buried Hop’e is a fierce and rolling opener. A ferocious kick drum spirals in and out of darkness whilst swirling pads and a cloud of distortion carry the listener deep into the heart of club.
‘Sad But Necessary’ is rich with raw feelings and sincerity. A mass of distorted drum work, swirling acid and melancholic pads that all come together to form a truly mesmerising musical experience.
‘Drop’ launches the B-side and takes things firmly into breakbeat and jungle infused territory. Melodic pads ride alongside cascading and rhythmic drums that submerge the listener into a blanket of pure emotion.
Closing out the EP is ‘And I’m Losing My Mind Again’, a thunderous melding of breakcore and jungle that takes the listener on an unparalleled journey beyond the outer limits. This is true euphoria, a firm label favourite and a modern day classic.
Buried Hopes comes packaged in a matte black sleeve complete with sticker and A6 insert.
