Finally, here is a new RED STRIPE DISCO delivery with this 11th episode. As usual, very happy to have been able to cook a nice mix of Jamaican / Reggae-related Modern Soul, Funk, Dubby Disco & Soulful gems. A few of them will sound obvious but the mix also contains a handful of really rare & under the radar jamaican gem that I am happy to provide here.
I hope you’ll enjoy this new selection, made entirely from OG records, that will perfectly fit with those sunny days I guess. Don’t hesitate to leave a quick feedback & share the mix if you do like it, it’s always appreciated here :)….

‘Deadly’ is the first single from the Five Steez digital EP, ‘These Kingston Times’.
The track, produced by DJ Crooks, features a classic Hip Hop breakbeat mixed with a vintage Reggae sound and a signature Dancehall chant. Equipped with sharp verses as well as a hypnotic hook and bridge, Five Steez makes this one a sure crowd pleaser.
This track has its beginning at the Copenhagen Jazz Festival in 2010. The danish producerteam Lulu Rouge was commissioned to play a mix of electronic music with jazz classics of great Nina Simone. This is one of their mixes played live that summer evening.
Lulu Rouge returned to the Copenhagen Jazz Festival in 2011 in tribute of Billie Holiday.
