Bradley Zero extended DJ set: Live Beside the Seaside @ Patterns, Brighton, March ’17

Recorded live from the beachfront at the wonderful Patterns in Brighton. No Editing, no fancy effects, just a DJR400, my trusty delay pedal, a bag full of records and a handful of exclusives on USB.

This dance marked the beginning of a quarterly residency at Patterns and if this one was anything to go by we’re off to a flying start. Next one is with @chaosinthecbd : https://www.residentadvisor.net/event.aspx?942873

This mix really takes us on a quite a journey – from experimental incantations, to Uk garage to B-more via African boogie, forgotten funk and thai psychadelia – all with a good slab of PROPER deep house in the middle.
A good introduction for what could go down at my next all night session – which is happening at PHONOX 21 may: http://bit.ly/BZallnightPhonox

A. OV – Perc Song (Chords)

FT039 – OV / Diego – Split 12″

A. OV – Perc Song (Chords)
B. Diego – Crack

Future Times is back at you with more hot wax!! DC’s own OV, who came correct with the opening cut on our Vibe 3 compilation, shares this 12″ with Diego (also known as Dude Energy, Suzanne Kraft) and together they lift off into the atmosphere with two dope cuts. OV’s “Perc Song (Chords)” sets a perfect, humid scene full of string licks and syncopated chunk, before it rinses the “(Chords)” and cools way out, setting the scene for “Crack” on the flip. Diego’s track climbs all the way up, cutting in slippery drums and arpeggios underneath the floating, soaked synths, before the end of the tune gives way to pure pad bliss.

Podible 020 – Rhythm Masters

For the 20th edition of Podible, Eats Everything has selected influential British duo Rhythm Masters, who recently released the fifth EP to come out on the Edible label. The pair influenced Eats in the early stages of his musical career, so this release is a great moment for Edible.

Formed in the early 90s, Steve Mac and Robert Bruce quickly became a highly respected DJ and production duo. In 2002, they released their debut album and have gone on to remix for Todd Terry, Michael Jackson, David Morales and Junior Sanchez. Their contribution to the Podible series is infectious and energetic; it references back to the era where it all began with classic Chicago house anthems, as well as lots of their own original unreleased material.
